Things To Do
- Shopping: Arrowhead Village has many Outlet Shops and restaurants. There are several antique stores tucked away all over the mountain.
- Music: Arrowhead Village has live bands every weekend during the warm months
- Movie Theater: Two big screens are located in Blue Jay about 10 minutes from Arrowhead
- Fishing: Several spots around the lake. Lake is stocked with fish
- Tour Boat: The “Arrowhead Queen” is the only public boat on the lake. It leaves hourly from the Village. Cost $12 for a 50 minute tour (I think it is pretty cool.)
- Lake: Arrowhead is 14 miles around and 185 feet deep. The cabin has full lake rights including membership for up to 10 adults to the lake, marina, beaches, boat club and 60 hiking trails.
- Groceries: Jensen’s Mini-Market is one block from the cabin. For an even wider selection of fresh meats & fish, a larger Jensen’s in located in Blue Jay (that one even has a Star Bucks)
- Dining: Two blocks from the cabin is Cedar Glen Inn – great hometown cooking in a very rustic diner atmosphere (feels like Opie & Aunt Bea will be there any minute). The Saddleback Inn at Arrowhead Village is more upscale and there are several other restaurants tucked away all over the mountain. Restaurants close at 9:00 PM every night.
- Snow: 4 Wheel drive is best or if you have snow tire chains, bring them.
- Snow Sports: Snow Valley is 15 minutes North, Big Bear lake is 40 minutes North. Both have slopes, sledding hills and snowboarding.
- Hiking: 60 hiking trails available – the cool one is around the lake and is 14 miles
- Relax: it is an amazingly quiet retreat, the stars shine at night like you’ve never seen before. There is no traffic, no traffic lights and no street lights.
